Adding Texture

By | Food for thought, textiles, Uncategorized | No Comments

Texture is an important element when designing a space, whether it’s smooth and sleek, or more rough and varied. These are some examples that we have used in our client’s interiors recently to create a warm, more casual feel for their vacation home.  The woven shade on Currey & Company’s pendant, Palecek’s swivel woven stools, and the herringbone wool bedroom carpet. When you are working with a neutral palette, it’s especially important to layer a variety of textures in elements like wood and textiles chosen for furnishings, bedding and window coverings. I think we have succeeded in creating an inviting and relaxing escape!
